
SHORT STORY COMPETITIONS
£100 prize in each.
All winning stories, and commended entries, published in WORDS Magazine AUTHOR'S GUIDELINES 1. Entries must be the writer's own work and not currently under consideration elsewhere.
2. Work will be typewritten, in double spacing on A4 paper. For emailed entries attachments are acceptable providing the above guideline is followed.
3. Entry form(s) plus a fee of £2 per story must accompany all submissions. 4. Stories should not exceed 2000 words for each story.
5. Authors names, or noms-de-plume, together with an approximate word count, must appear on the cover sheet. MSS cannot be returned so we advise you to keep a copy for your records.
6. The winners will be notified by post or email and announced in the next available issue of WORDS Magazine. All other entries may be submitted to other publications two months after the closing date(s).
7. Entries should reach us on or before the closing dates above.
8. Authors may send as many entries as they wish for each competition.
